Born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, Omar Shalash — also known as “Coach Shalash” — has dedicated his life to excellence, teamwork, and community. As a high school social studies teacher and retired soccer coach, he has always believed that greatness is achieved through passion and discipline — the same principles that inspired the launch of Coach Shalash's Kitchen.
Founded in the years following COVID-19, Coach Shalash's Kitchen is a full-service catering company specializing in both grilled fare and global cuisines, including a wide range of Middle Eastern dishes. From elegant wedding buffets and plated dinners to intimate celebrations and live private cooking shows, every event is designed around the client's unique vision.
Our team handles all aspects of service — from on-site preparation and cooking to presentation and serving — with the goal of delivering a seamless, memorable experience. Combining professional precision with personal warmth, we bring people together through food that not only satisfies but inspires.
